At PhiloWilke, we are passionate about creating a diverse work environment that encourages the contributions of all regardless of their background. Our approach is to foster a creative, solution-driven design practice that allows for various perspectives to be heard and respected. We believe that this forward-thinking and inclusive approach contributes to the innovation that we are known for within the marketplace.

PWP and HUB/SBE Businesses
PhiloWilke is a strong proponent for HUB/SBE Certified Businesses. In the past, we have participated in the HUB mentorship program by supporting a local HUB and learning from one another. We feel that these entities have much to offer and enhance teams by bringing together people from diverse backgrounds.

Our firm’s mentoring program leads the industry in providing a wide-range of opportunities for learning and growth for our teams. Each person is encouraged to participate to maximize their potential and to ensure a positive, engaging work atmosphere. This mentorship program and our leadership goals transcend any specific role or responsibility on a project, unleashing the full potential of each person. Our commitment to our firm, our community and the world at large is to continue to encourage this people-centric view since it has been a cornerstone of our success for over 30 years.

We currently work with the following institutions to reach HUB/SBE specified goals; UT MDA Anderson Cancer Center, UTMB, UT Health Science Center at Houston, Texas State University System, Texas A&M University System and Houston Community College.

We have a well-established relationship with many HUB certified firms across the AEC industry. Our team selection process begins by identifying consultants as they best fit the project scope and arrive at the best team for your project to not only meet but exceed your HUB goal. When soliciting for HUB-Subcontracting opportunities we choose team members based on their:

  • Understanding of the selecting institutions system guidelines.
  • Expertise as it pertains to each project pursuit.
  • Ability to deliver solutions and dedication to ensure a consistent and competent team
  • Availability to complete projects on time and in budget.
  • Knowledge of BIM software.
  • Communication skills. Each team member must maintain a clear line of communication and be able to educate all stakeholders of possible design solutions as projects progress.
