The Women’s Services Renovation is the first phase of the Houston Methodist Willowbrook’s new growth strategy. This comprehensive Women’s and Children’s Department will cater to the needs of prenatal, neonatal and maternity surgical procedures. The department was designed to create a calm and relaxing environment evoking a spa-like atmosphere. Warm and natural materials such as wood accents, a feminine chic color palette, indirect lighting, and natural patterns inspire a sense of serenity and comfort. To accommodate the family and friends of the expectant mothers, the waiting area was purposely broken into smaller clusters for contemplation and consultation. The patient and staff areas utilize materials not only for their ascetic value but comfort and the familiarity of home.
This renovation is a 15-phased project within the fully occupied Willowbrook Hospital and includes labor and delivery suites, an ante and postpartum nursing unit, an OB/ED suite and reception/ waiting room.
