The Baylor Scott & White Round Rock Campus expansion is a multi-phase renovation and construction effort designed to increase capacity and improve patient care while maintaining full hospital operations. The centerpiece of the project is a new five-story patient bed tower, which introduces a dedicated inpatient entrance and connects to a reconfigured foodservice area for improved efficiency. This tower will house Women’s Services on level two, universal patient care floors on levels three and four, and specialized spaces such as dialysis and employee training on level five. Complementing this addition is a one-story NICU expansion, strategically located adjacent to Labor, Delivery, and Recovery to centralize Women’s Services and streamline provider workflows.
A comprehensive renovation of existing facilities introduces a new main entrance, upgraded procedural spaces, and six fast-track beds in the emergency department to boost capacity. Through strategic phasing and careful planning, the hospital remains fully operational during construction, ensuring uninterrupted care for the growing Round Rock community. These improvements reflect the client’s priorities: expanding Women’s Services, introducing NICU capabilities, and increasing procedural capacity to support future growth.
