As a part of a comprehensive strategy throughout the Houston region, Methodist embarked on the development of new free-standing emergency care centers. The first free-standing center was built in Pearland. The project includes 10 exam rooms, a CT scanner, and a digital radiography room. The facility includes Methodist-branding design features, such as a gabled entry atrium and the use of warm inviting materials to promote a positive patient experience. Parking is provided conveniently near the front door along with a covered drop-off to ensure easy access for patients within an emergency situation. This project was the first of five free-standing emergency center locations: Pearland, Sienna Plantation, Fulshear, Cypress and Spring.
