This creative adaptive reuse project gave PhiloWilke a chance to take an existing 38,000 sf Barnes & Noble retail building and transform it into a licensed hospital and a medical office buildout. The hospital portion of the building included eight inpatient beds, eight emergency department exam rooms, imaging services, and support spaces. The medical office buildout contains 26 exam rooms with imaging and support spaces. The construction budget for this project was approx. $13,000,000. Through the creative cost control efforts of the Owner and design team, the project came in under budget at approx. $11,500,000.
